Operational: The new reefer gantries at Port , used to supply electricity to store Food&Medicine refrigerated containers arriving at the port.

Quantity and function: two new power-suppling gantries, allowing the site to welcome an additional 64 ‘reefers’ - the industry term for such a container, used to transport perishable goods, such as food and medicine, even including seafood.

Technical Specifications:
4 Level 4 Rows Total 16Nrs of Refer Container Stack Capacity per side of reefer rack, or 32Nrs for double sizes.
Total 2 sets of Reefer Racks
Total Length 12.0m, Total wedth 2.2m, Typical Level Height: 2.6m and 2.9m for high cubic reefer containers.

Reefers use as integral refrigeration unit that keeps the goods inside at an optimum temperature. The unit is supplied with power from the vessel or vehicle during transit.

The two new reefer gantries allow containers on the terminal to be stacked four high, saving valuable ground space, that in turn increases its storage capacity for other types of containers.

the investment would benefit the port owner and would reduce their reliance on third party generators and continue to use the state grid power on more economic base.
